Begin with what you notice, not a diagnosis
Lines, volume, skin, energy. Start from the thing you keep seeing in the mirror, and Paulina works out the rest with you.

Wellness and energy
IV hydration and vitamin B12, and whether either one is a fit for you.
Aesthetic concerns
Movement, structure, and skin aren't the same thing
Kalina separates three aesthetic concerns because they are three different conversations. Lines and wrinkles are about how the face moves: the forehead, between the brows, and the outer corners of the eyes. Facial volume is about how full the cheeks, temples, lips and jawline look next to each other. Skin tone and texture are about the surface itself, including pores and the marks left behind by acne. Paulina separates them in the room before any treatment name comes up.

Wellness questions
Your health history belongs in this conversation
The fourth pathway is wellness and energy, which at Kalina means IV therapy and vitamin B12 injections. Paulina Munoz, FNP-BC, reviews your health history before either is discussed. She is a nurse practitioner rather than your primary care physician, and this is the category where she most often says a conversation with your own doctor comes first. No page here identifies the cause of a symptom.
Where concerns overlap
The same thing can have more than one cause
A line across the forehead and a hollow under the cheekbone are different concerns that can produce the same complaint. Skin tone and skin texture travel together often enough that people describe one and mean both. Paulina looks at your face at rest and while you move it, because the two behave differently. The distinction gets made in person, by someone looking at your face, instead of guessed at from a menu.
Coming prepared
What helps the conversation
Three things give Paulina somewhere to start: when you notice it, what has changed, and what you have already tried. Photographs of yourself from a few years ago are useful for questions about the cheeks, temples and jawline, because volume changes slowly and a mirror shows you only today. For skin, bring the products you use, including the ones you have stopped. Kalina is at 233 S Sharon Amity Rd #107 in Charlotte, and Paulina sees every patient herself.
